Honeywell Doorbell Range - Wired & Wireless
Honeywell Doorbells Centre of Excellence
Honeywell Home Doorbells are available across three structured ranges — Series 3, Series 5, and Series 9 — covering both wireless and wired or hybrid configurations.
Series 3 models provide core functionality with multiple melodies, LED visual alerts, and entry-level wireless or plug-in options, with select compatibility for wired setups.
Series 5 expands range, sound clarity, and visual customisation, offering mid-tier wireless systems with enhanced performance.
Series 9 represents the premium tier, featuring extended wireless range, higher volume output, longer battery life, MP3 custom chime support on select models, and optional hardwired operation.
Wired Honeywell doorbells typically operate via a low-voltage 8V–16V AC transformer, while higher-demand smart or video models may require a 24V AC, 40VA transformer. This range supports both portable wireless and fixed wired installations, depending on model and power requirements.
Honeywell wireless doorbells typically use ActivLink technology operating on the 868 MHz frequency band to support stable, interference-resistant connectivity and extended operating range, reaching up to 200 m on higher-end models. Many units include LED Halo or strobe visual alerts, providing supplementary notification in noisy environments or for accessibility needs.
Chime units are commonly available in portable (battery-powered) or plug-in formats, allowing flexible placement around the home. Select models offer customisable melodies, distinct alert tones (such as “Secret Knock”), and configurable mute or timed quiet modes. Battery life varies by model, with premium options designed for multi-year operation, while installation is typically simplified through pre-linked pairing and minimal setup requirements.
