The doorbell is a plug-in model and takes its power from the mains and operates in the 868MHz range to avoid problems with interference. The bell pushes are battery powered
Both bell pushes will ring the chime unit, and they can be set to ring a different melody dependent upon which bell push is pressed ? so you will know which door to go to.
The doorbell comes pre-linked and ready to install straight out of the box to the first push, with the second bell push linked using the Honeywell ActivLink? procedure.
