Zamel Period Doorbells
Zamel Period Doorbell Chimes
Zamel Period Wired Doorbells consist of electromechanical chime units styled to replicate early 20th-century (1910s–1920s) designs, using genuine wood and brass rather than plastic housings. These models produce a traditional mechanical “ding-dong” or ring tone via metal striker mechanisms, delivering a strong, clear sound output typically around 86–88 dB.
Common designs include retro striker bells such as the DNT-971-CIM (brass bowl on wooden base), the Victorian Butler’s Bell (DNT-222) with mahogany and polished brass, and tubular bell chimes (e.g., 800Tr / ZML-800) featuring long brass pipes for a resonant tone. Units are designed for indoor, wall-mounted installation (IP20) and operate on an 8V AC transformer, with some models offering volume adjustment.
